More than one billion dollars has been saved from the work these people have done. Most of the people who work for CHAI come from private sector jobs and businesses, and they are making sacrifices, such as pay cuts and the willingness to work in difficult conditions, to help people who need their services. There are currently more than 600 people who work for this HIV AIDS organization, and they are motivated to go to areas that others will not visit.
